• Position: Werkstudent / Working Student – Public Sector (Energy/Climate Policy focus)
• Location: Berlin 

Our Working Students have the opportunity to provide wide-ranging support for client engagements, whilst building their technical foundation. You will work in a team on complex problems and deliver high quality client-ready work. Working Students will be coached to demonstrate business professionalism and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly to perform effectively in the client environment.

We are looking for a Working Student to support European climate policy and the European Climate Initiative for the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK). The work will be carried out in the premises of the BMWK.

Qualifications:

• Uphold Guidehouse’s values of respect, integrity, innovation, stewardship, and excellence and support our culture of inclusion & diversity
• Deliver on multiple assigment, under the guidance and support BMWK and Guidehouse staff
• Synthesise data into clear analyses and provide fact-based recommendations and solutions for drafting summary reports and presentations
• Ensure that documentation is properly managed, quality checked and organised
• Build good relationships with the wider team and colleagues and participate in team and office events where there are opportunities

You are:

• A team-player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels
• A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creative in problem solving
• Able to show a working knowledge of data collection, organisational and analytical skills
• Able to work on multiple assignments and show a good understanding of the EU policy objectives, German climate policy, client expectations (BMWK)
• Comfortable communicating and presenting research results
• Experienced with Microsoft products
• Fluent in German language, able to draft and review reports and other documents

Academic Qualifications and Interests:

• Enrolled in a Master's degree program / or end of Bachelor's (e.g., energy / public policies, economics, renewable energy systems, sustainability, etc.)
• A strong curiosity, and/or experience, in a relevant industry topic such as: sustainability, climate portection, renewable energy, energy efficiency, etc. 

Additional Requirements:

• Enrolled as a regular student at a German university
• Be fluent in German and English
