The Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) is a unique collaboration of NGOs and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) from across Europe. We promote transparent, environmentally sensitive grid development to enable the further steady growth of renewable energy and the energy transition.

We are looking for a Finance Manger to join our team ASAP. 

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the CEO you will have ultimate responsibility to provide sound financial and administrative management of the organisation. Assisted by two team members internally and an external tax accountant you will be responsible for:

• Tracking of funding agreements to ensure optimum use of funds
• P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow management & multi-level reporting
• Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, 3-year plans at project, funder, and entity level
• Ownership of annual audit process and any requests from the German Tax Office
• Supervision of processing and validation of contracts, invoices, and expenses
• Ad-hoc projects and diverse challenges from a small-company environment.

Qualifications

• Finance/Accounting qualification or equivalent
• A minimum of three years of  professional experience in similar funcions
• Experience in financial management of EU projects and/or operating grants
• Fluency in English, good knowledge of German is preferable
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite in particular Excel
• Autonomous manner with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Desire and commitment to work in a small team in a multicultural working environment

The contract will run for two years with the option to prolong it and become a permanent contract. The starting date is as soon as possible. The work location is currently Templehof, Berlin. This is a full-time position.
