Developer:in für Wind Energy Digitalisation Startup

About us

enviConnect is a startup from the University of Stuttgart. Our mission is to enable digitalisation in wind energy.

We’re a small team with great mentors and first customers. Our next goal is to get a demonstration of our web-based SaaS platform running. Therefore we’re working on an EXIST Gründerstipendium proposal and are looking for a technical co-founder to help us grow.

Join us as our

Cofounder & Developer

You'll help us build our web-based platform for the digitalisation of wind energy.

That means working with the technical and commercial leads to translate customer needs into scalable, reliable functionality, and then figuring out the front-end and back-end architecture we need to deliver it. You get to define the technology stack and tools from end to end.

You'll be the lead for everything in this space, but you won't be alone. The rest of the team have enough relevant skills that they can be sparring partners, can help set out the tools, and will help with front-end design.

Diversity, equality, and inclusion

We’re striving to create a working culture where anyone can feel they belong, regardless of gender, age, sexuality, mobility, personal circumstances, national origin, or other factors.

We particularly encourage applications from women and under-represented groups. So, please contact us even if you do not have all the skills we’re looking for.

This is not a job offer. We are looking for a co-founder who wants to work on the EXIST proposal with us and eventually found our own company. We’re planning to submit the EXIST proposal in 2022, which would mean you would join us full time in early 2023.

If this sounds like you, please contact Andy Clifton or Ines Würth for more information

We’re looking for someone to grow to become our full stack web developer. You don’t need to be able to do everything now but should have some relevant experience already.

We’re looking for a person who:

  • Can work with a multinational, multidisciplinary team

  • Can translate hand waving and ideas into code

  • Works in python

  • Documents their code

  • Has a working knowledge of version control systems like git and GitHub

  • Understands that done is better than perfect, but builds good foundations

  • Wants to set up a full stack web development process.

Experience with web development is a definite plus. If you don't have anything formal that's also fine - it could be you've done some hobby work or a placement that you can show us. Even better if we can see a Github repository :).

Our goal is to have an MVP in place within a few months, and then iterate through to a version 1 within a year. Your work style needs to match that - hopefully you've had some exposure to agile working methods and can set up and run moderately complex projects.

Training is available to help you to grow into the role.

This is a remote position, but for EXIST funding you need to be resident in Germany.
