For our Group Environmental Management and Impact Reporting team, based in Frankfurt am Main, we are seeking a motivated

Environmental Management Specialist (E&S impact assessment)

Aufgaben

What we offer

As a member of the Group Environmental Management and Impact Reporting team you will engage in following tasks:

• Support the team in the analysis of environmental and social (E&S) impact/risk assessments relating to projects in different economic sectors, and provide opinions on these cases
• Define the scope of and provide opinion on external Environmental and Social Impact assessments (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Due Diligences (ESDD)
• Support the development of internal documentation, such as standards and guidelines on E&S risk assessment
• Analyze the development and implementation of our E&S approach and the E&S performance of our portfolio
• Develop and conduct regular staff trainings (in-person, as well as online) related to environmental management and impact/risk assessment
• Facilitate the exchange of experience and best practices among our banks to improve our E&S risk assessment capacities
• Participate in the continuous development and improvement of our environmental management and impact reporting, based on internal performance assessment as well as the analysis of international requirements and initiatives

Anforderungen

What we expect (qualifications)

• A degree in environmental sciences, ecology or environmental engineering or other relevant degree with a focus on E&S topics
• Previous professional experience in any of the following fields is considered an advantage: environmental and social risk/impact assessment, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability in banking or finance
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; German language skills will be considered an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – ability to understand and communicate with different counter-parties, to moderate discussions and to conduct trainings
• Ability to work meticulously both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and participate in business trips in the framework of our projects
• Passion for contributing to social and environmental developments and improvements
