Energy & Climate Policy Expert – Consultant / Senior Consultant

What You Will Do:

• Deliver on multiple projects for ministries, international organizations, and industry clients
• Work on one or several projects on topics such as renewable energy and climate policies, decarbonization in power markets and industry, sustainable transport, sector coupling, heating & cooling, and hydrogen value chain.
• Under guidance and support of the team, support the management of day-to-day client relationships and expectations, prepare client ready deliverables, conduct data gathering and desktop research; synthesize data into clear analyses and provide fact-based recommendations and solutions for drafting policies, procedures, summary reports and presentations, while setting priorities and organising own tasks
• Conduct work on national, EU, and international level (e.g. MENA region) with national and international stakeholders and partners
• Build good relationships with the wider Guidehouse team and establish client and industry networks

What You Will Need:

• A team-player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in the consulting business with diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels
• Passionate to work on sustainability, innovations and energy transition, a critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creativity in problem-solving
• Able to work on multiple projects and show a good understanding of the project objectives and client expectations
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively (both virtually and in-person) with low supervision
• Comfortable communicating and presenting project results to colleagues and clients
• Master’s degree or similar relevant academic background in (energy/environmental) engineering, energy/climate or international policy, economics, and social sciences, with 1+ years work experience in the energy or climate sector
• As a global company we work with clients primarily in English, so English language skills are a must, fluency in other languages (e.g. German, French, Arabic, Eastern European languages) is a bonus
• Willingness to travel and work internationally on occasion
