The Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) is a unique collaboration of NGOs and TSOs from across Europe, engaging in an ‘energy transition ecosystem-of-actors’. We promote fair, transparent, sustainable grid development to enable the growth of renewables and achieve full decarbonisation in line with the Paris Agreement. GINGR is a joint initiative of RGI and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). It aims to facilitate Nature- and People-Positive renewable energy and grid deployment by establishing an industry-supported, government-endorsed monitoring and reporting framework at a global scale.
RGI is now looking for a Junior Communications Manager to join the GINGR Team, working as part of a dynamic, international group that bridges sectors and cultures. The successful candidate will fit well into our team of smart, driven, and creative individuals, and will be comfortable bridging divides between the corporate and non-governmental world. See GINGR.org for more details.
As GINGR Junior Communications Manager, you will support the day-to-day delivery of GINGR's communications activities, with a particular focus on digital content, website and CRM management, social media and newsletters and the operation of these systems. With responsibility for these activities, and working closely with the GINGR Communications Manager, the GINGR Coordinator and colleagues across the GINGR and RGI teams, you will help ensure that GINGR communicates its work in a timely, engaging and professional way across its different channels. You will also be required to provide communications and organisational support for periodic GINGR events and other activities.
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on and well-organised team player who enjoys working across different communications tasks in a dynamic, multicultural environment. You are keen to learn, attentive to detail, a self-starter, and comfortable working at pace while collaborating closely with colleagues.
Candidates must already hold a valid work permit for Germany. Knowledge of German is desirable but not essential, as GINGR is a global programme.
